Marie D'Ancanto was a Southern belle from Meridian, Mississippi.
The Rogue was a mutant on the run—a girl capable of killing with just a touch of her skin. She'd put her first boyfriend, David, in a coma just by kissing him. She'd drained the Wolverine twice just to stay alive. And she'd been killed by Magneto so that he could use her as fuel for a machine that would have killed humanity. That's how she'd earned her platinum streaks, the one feature that easily identified her.
Rogue had a home at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. She'd even had a boyfriend—Bobby Drake. She had been invited to become a member of the Junior X-Men team, and she'd even had to face some personal demons when the Cure came into being.
Would she give up the one thing that made her Rogue, just to become Marie again? Or were they really just one in the same?
She has an Alpha level mutation (Class Five), and she can borrow both powers and memories. She has five men living inside her mind, the Wolverine and Magneto being the strongest. David has all but faded, and there's still a tickle that represents an old friend. A former student.
She's used to keeping to herself, a side effect of the killer skin. She might seem withdrawn at times, but once she gets to know you; knows you aren't afraid and that you're worth it—she's loyal to the end.
She's passionate, and prone to bouts of irrational anger. Whether a genuine part of her own personality or a result of having the Wolverine in her head is unknown even to Rogue. The fact that she has nightmares—sometimes her own; sometimes the Wolverine's; sometimes Magneto's and sometimes a combination of all—also contributes to the irrational behaviour.
She's stronger than she gives herself credit for. And while her young age might give off the impression of innocence, she's been through more than most in a lifetime, and absorbing an evil criminal and a feral experiment have stripped her of what little remained. Magneto's absorption has also given her a calculating mind, allowing her to cut people off if she feels the need. To look after her own self, and as a means of strategy.
She is a total and complete flirt. Her power means that she can't touch, but she will encourage a whole 'look but don't touch' policy. She is faithful to anyone she is in a relationship with, though she might stray or cross lines if she feels a strong connection with someone else. She embraces her sexual identity and has no problem with using it to get what she wants.
She's prone to running away if she feels like things are getting too heavy, but given the right reason she'll stay.
Rogue is from 20th Century Fox's X-Men, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, the X-Men comics and is the property of Marvel. She appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing, from which no profit whatsoever is being made. No disrespect or infringement is intended.
Note: This Rogue didn't take the Cure. She is in effect taken from the 'alternate' ending for X-Men 3, and the original script ending regarding her taking the Cure.
